Pedders USA
Pedders USA Lowering Springs, Coilovers, Sway Bars, Brake Kits, Bushings and More
Pedders has played a prominent role in the Australian automotive aftermarket industry since 1950. In 2004, Gravana Tuning began importing Pedders parts for the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, showcasing Pedders coilovers at the 2004 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. After a few years of building the Pedders brand name, Pedders USA became a reality, opening a North American facility selling specialized parts to automotive wholesalers and specialist workshops throughout the U.S. By 2010, Pedders USA had established industry partnerships with General Motors, Lingenfelter, Richard Petty and Saleen. Pedders has been featured on TV with West Coast Customs and in magazines such as Supercar builder. For each new chassis Pedders USA develops an integrated and engineered suspension solution. There is no fixed formula. Its not an exact science. Pedders identifies the weaknesses in the OE suspension and develop Pedders components to correct them. Pedders thinks like OE engineers, but without interference from sales, marketing and finance, so all Pedders parts suit the automotive enthusiast.
Pedders started in the USA with the fastest wide-body GTO on a road course. Next the fastest Chrysler 300C. Then Pedders USA's G8 and 5th Generation Camaro. When Pedders moved to Ford platforms, the results with the Saleen Mustang were the same. Pedders 'supercars' are developmental vehicles with purpose. Pedders upgrades everything to make certain that testing is performed at or above the levels of performance that customers will reach. Pedders documents every step of development in enthusiast forums so they can benefit from the hard work invested. Ride quality is subjective. Pedders test cars serve as daily drivers. As Pedders does R&D work in AU and in the USA, the goal is to achieve a Pedders feel: the ideal balance between civility and performance handling. The current PEdders product line-up includes Coilovers, End Links, Shocks, Struts, Lowering Springs, Sway Bars, Polyurethane Bushings, Big Brake Kits, Brake Rotors and Brake Pads.
Pedders USA does not build parts for race cars; they make parts for the enthusiast driver that just happen to do extremely well on the race track. A fully Pedderized vehicle feels like a factory hot rod. It is quiet. It is comfortable. It handles. Pedders’ HHR SS Camaro on factory wheels and tires holds a steady .98 Gs on the skid pad. Pedderized the GTO, 300C, Charger, Challenger, Magnum, G8, Camaro and Mustang all pull more than 1.1 Gs on the skid pad while delivering high quality ride. That is the Pedders USA difference. Pedders makes bits that you will enjoy when you are behind the wheel. Pedders USA is about people. Sure, they make products to fit cars, but they are building these parts for people who are passionate about their cars. Pedders makes them for you. Front Big Brake Kits
What is a front big brake kit?
A front big brake kit is a complete front brake system with oversized calipers, rotors, and pads to fit the front driver and passenger side of your vehicle. Ideally, the calipers will house larger, more efficient pistons to help increase braking performance. The larger front rotors and pads help with heat dissipation, and cooler running brakes tend to perform better.
What does a front brake kit do?
Stopping your vehicle quicker, in a shorter distance, and with reduced brake fade is much safer. Some people upgrade their brake pads, others choose drilled or slotted rotors, some add stainless brake lines, and even more simply upgrade to a premium brake fluid. However, front big brake kits combine all those upgrades and add high performance calipers for the ultimate way to achieve maximum stopping power. As a bonus, most big brake kits fill that gap behind your wheels and can increase your vehicle’s resale value.
Are front brake kit upgrades worth it?
Absolutely. Yes!!! From a safety perspective, vehicles with increased performance, larger wheels, and/or larger tires should add a front big brake kit as soon as possible. The increased stopping power of a front big brake kit can mean the difference between stopping and blowing past your stop.
What are the best front big brake kits?
While this question is loaded, Accesspeed offers several brands of front big brake kits, including Brembo, Wilwood, Baer, Stoptech, AP Racing, SSBC, Rotora, R1 Concepts, Alcon and PBR. Each front big brake kit manufacturer has its own unique place in the brake market, making it difficult to play favorites.
Do I need bigger front brakes if I run bigger wheels and tires?
Yes. Bigger wheels and tires are both bad for your brakes, but bigger AND heavier wheels and/or tires are bad for your front brakes. In most cases, a 10% increase in wheel/tire size and/or weight will reduce your front brake system performance by 10%. This problem is most obvious on trucks, SUVs and Jeeps running oversize wheels and tires. If you have already upgraded to bigger wheels or tires, you may have already learned this fact, and hopefully not the hard way.
Why do front big brake kits cost more than factory OEM?
Most OEM front brake systems are designed and built by the millions for production vehicles, using the least costly materials and methods possible. Aftermarket front big brake kits are designed and manufactured in smaller quantities using higher quality materials, advanced production methods, and achieving higher performance braking goals. In addition to R&D and production investments, aftermarket front big brake kits have a higher marketing cost per unit sold.
