ORDERING
When placing an order on this website, you will be required to agree to these Terms and Conditions. The content of this Website, in part and as a whole, is the sole property of Accesspeed, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. By using this Website, you signify your agreement that use of the Website is restricted to personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to reproduce, retransmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast or circulate the content received through this Website to anyone, including but not limited to, others in the same company or organization without Accesspeed, Inc.'s express prior written consent. You also expressly agree that you will not use any robot, spider, or other automatic or manual device or process to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of our web site, nor act as a conduit for others to affect the same result. If you do not agree with any of these Terms of Use, please do not use our Website. We reserve the right to modify, alter, and otherwise update these Terms of Use at any time at our sole discretion. Should you make use of our Website thereafter, you are bound by the latest Terms. To ensure that you have a thorough understanding of our policies, we suggest that you review these Terms each time you place an order on this Website. All parts remain property of Accesspeed until paid for in full. If your payment is reversed, whether via bounced check, cancelled check, or bank chargeback, Accesspeed reserves the right to repossess our products. Accesspeed also reserves the right to bill you for any and all costs associated with your payment reversal, including turning your debt over to a collection agency. All engine modification parts, air intake systems and headers, except those that are listed as Street Legal, Exempt, EO#-approved, or 50-State-Legal, are for use on racing vehicles only, which may never be used on public roads in the USA.

Check Payment:
Cashier's Check, Certified Check, Money Order, Personal & Business Checks are all accepted. Personal checks must have your name, address and check number all bank-imprinted on the check to be accepted. Checks with a PO Box for the address will not be accepted. Please include your current physical address (if different from check) and phone number and current driver's license number and state. All checks must be verified as 'Cleared' by our bank prior to shipping products. Personal Checks typically take 10-12 BUSINESS DAYS to clear!!! All check orders for $500.00 or more must be paid for by Money Order or Cashier's Check only. When a prepayment is short of the actual total amount of the order, you will be notified and requested to remit the difference before the order is processed. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH!!!
PayPal Payment:

When ordering online, we accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. MAKE SURE YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IS ON FILE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD PROVIDER, AS WE MUST BE ABLE TO VERIFY SHIPPING ADDRESS WHEN WE PROCESS YOUR CARD! All credit cards are authorized only upon ordering to verify accurate customer information and authenticate your credit card for fraud protection. Should you decide to cancel, or if you are placing a pre-order, it normally takes our credit card processor 3-5 business days to completely process the authorization removal. Keep in mind, your bank may hold funds for an extended period before they lift it. Our credit card processor may not be able to process some international cards. Financing / Making Payments:
We offer two payment options for making payments on a product, as listed below:
Bill Me Later - Bill Me Later is a third party finance company, and is not related to Accesspeed. Bill Me Later is available for US residents only, at this time.
Lay-Away – The Accesspeed law-away program allows you to pay toward items you wish to purchase over a period of time. Once payment is made, we ship the item to you. There are two benefits to lay-away. The first is NO INTEREST! The second is our price-guarantee, which guarantees your price, even if the item price increases before it is paid in full.
Accesspeed observes all major holidays including, but not limited to, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Each year in July, Accesspeed closes its warehouse facility for inventory for approximately three (3) business days. While we can accept orders and drop-ship items from manufacturers, all items shipping from our warehouse will ship subsequent to the completion of our inventory procedure. This is a normal process for warehouses and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We will post a notice on our home page when this occurs.
When you place an order, we collect your name, address, telephone number, credit card number, card expiration date and e-mail address. We use this information to process and fill your order and to contact you about the order. The e-mail address collected here will not be sold or shared with any other companies. While we do collect information to monitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us improve the site, we do not practice discriminatory pricing or dynamic pricing based on the data. We collect aggregate statistics, such as vehicle model and product popularity, but that data does not contain any personally identifying information about our customers.
PRICING

If you use a username and password to Log-Into a website to shop for products, chances are, you have been a victim of dynamic pricing. Some websites use dynamic pricing (aka- Time-Based Pricing, Discrimination Pricing, Etc.) to change prices AS YOU SHOP based on various circumstances. Retailers do this without telling customers, in order to increase profits.
Have you ever logged into a website, shopped for an item one day, and when you went back a few days later to that same website, the price of that item had gone up? That discrimination you experience is dynamic pricing! The seller knows you are more interested when you return to view that item a second time, so they raise the price. Amazon.com has been using this technology since before 2000, when they were caught using a controversial discrimination software to price and sell items. Larger automotive aftermarket retailer websites also use this technology. OS Commerce based websites use this technology and take it even further, allowing the site owners to literally track your use as you go and make offers and changes on the fly as you shop.
Many online retailers bait you to create an account with “exclusive offers”, “special deals” or “better discounts” if you sign-up. Accesspeed.com does not require you to “Create an Account” or “Log-in” to shop and purchase items. We do not store your address or credit card information on our website, so you will need to enter that information each time you order. We prefer this more ethical method of conducting business with our customers, and we hope you understand and agree with us on this issue.
On our website, beside each part listing is a price. Periodically, this convenient information may become obsolete due to manufacturing cost increases. Therefore, we reserve the right to make price changes without notice. California residents will be charged 9.0% sales tax to the total cost of the merchandise on their order. All amounts are in US Dollars. We have a price-match policy on all products to ensure that Accesspeed customers always pay the lowest possible price. The item must be the exact same item from a legitimate company (not some fly-by-night, running-it-out-of-their-Mom's-garage-in-their-underwear eBay store or website), the product must not be a blem or second, and the product must be In-Stock and ready to ship from that company. WE DO NOT PRICE-MATCH COMPANIES GOING OUT OF BUSINESS OR DROPPING A PRODUCT LINE AND SELLING IT BELOW COST. Why? Part of the value you get when dealing with Accesspeed is that we will take care of any subsequent product issues you may encounter. Thus, buying from a company that is closing their doors or dropping the product line in question, you will have no recourse if there is an issue with that product. ALL SPECIAL ORDERS ARE FINAL. SELL PRICE vs. MSRP/LIST PRICE
Wherever possible, we show "MSRP" next to “Our Price” to identify the savings difference we offer through Accesspeed.com. MSRP is typically the suggested retail price of a product as set by the manufacturer or supplier. In cases where the manufacturer or supplier has not provided a suggested retail price, MSRP may represent the manufacturer's suggested retail price for a comparable product, an approximate suggested retail price formulated using standard wholesale/retail markups for the item, or the comparative price" for the same or comparable item as advertised by another retailer.

We strive to offer the best prices on every product we sell. If you do happen to find the same product at a lower price, we will refund the difference immediately when we process your order. We offer two (2) ways to get that price for the product you order:

A URL link to the website is most helpful, if you have it. Once we verify the source, we will adjust your order to reflect the price of the item you found elsewhere. PLEASE NOTE: Your online receipt will not reflect the price adjustment when you order. A corrected receipt will be emailed to you once the adjustment has been processed.
- Place your order over the phone:

Price Match Terms and conditions
Processing your order at the lower matched price is done at the discretion of Accesspeed and is subject to evaluation using the terms and conditions herein. If we are unable to verify the price discrepancy within two (2) business days, we will process and ship your order to ensure prompt delivery, and issue a check to you for the difference. Any fraudulent use or abuse of the Accesspeed price match policy will result in your order being cancelled. Price comparison includes merchandise selling price plus equivalent shipping method, handling charges, and sales tax. The item also needs to be the identical product and in new and unused condition, in-stock and available for purchase from an authorized dealer and not a pricing error. Excludes rebates, liquidations, auctions (including eBay and Amazon), industry employee discounts and open-box offers. Price match discounts cannot be combined with Accesspeed promotional offers. Orders shipped outside of the Unites States or Territories may not be eligible for price matching. Orders with expedited shipping offers may not be eligible for price matching. Accesspeed reserves the right to limit price match requests per customer. On rare occasions, price errors or omissions occur. We apologize for the inconvenience such an error or omission may cause. Accesspeed reserves the right to correct the inaccuracies of such errors or omissions at any time, with or without notice, and update any related orders. Accesspeed reserves the right to decline price matches against any erroneous price listing on this site or any other site. SPECIAL ORDERS AND BACKORDERS
In some cases, we may not have a specific product in stock. Our standard policy is to place an order with the manufacturer the same day you order from us. In an effort to get the product to you as quickly as possible, if the product is available, Accesspeed may have the manufacturer drop-ship the item directly to you. In cases where you have ordered multiple items and one item is out of stock for any reason, your entire order may be held until the item is back in stock. Otherwise, one or all of your items may be drop-shipped. There is no additional shipping charge for drop-shipped items.
Special Orders require pre-payment and are NOT RETURNABLE! Some special order items may take additional time in transit.
In some cases, it is necessary for Accesspeed to cancel a special order for a backorder or discontinued part. We reserve the right to cancel these orders. If Accesspeed cancels your pre-paid special order at our discretion, you will be issued a full refund. As always, there is no additional shipping charge on backorder shipments.
CANCELLATIONS
All orders are considered final upon placement. You can request an order change or cancellation via telephone, email or fax. However, an order change or cancellation is complete ONLY AFTER you receive confirmation via email that your order has been cancelled. E-MAILED, FAXED OR VOICE-MAIL MESSAGED CANCELLATIONS ARE NOT COMPLETE UNTIL YOU RECEIVE YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMATION!!! Shipped orders, full or partial, are not cancelable under any circumstances. Requesting a cancellation DOES NOT cancel an order unless confirmed by Accesspeed. Cancellations are not guaranteed by Accesspeed and may take up to 72 hours to confirm, depending on the product ordered. Orders shipping the same day a cancellation is requested are considered shipped. All cancellations are subject to a processing fee of up to 10%. Some specialty items and/or special orders are not returnable, refundable or cancelable under any circumstances. (See each product description for more details on non-returnable items.) These items include seats, roll bars, harnesses and all electronic items. Cancellation requests on items that have shipped prior to the request are considered completed orders, and will be rejected. Circumstances beyond the control of Accesspeed (natural disaster, weather, earthquakes, carrier loss, changing your mind, change of address, customers moving, delivery truck crashing, late delivery of a gift-order, act of God, act of your ex-wife, divorce, etc.) do not qualify for order cancellation or return.
SHIPPING
All shipments are F.O.B. from one of our warehouse locations, unless drop-shipped directly by a manufacturer. Standard sized items will be shipped by ground service unless another type of service is selected or requested. ETAs are for business days only and do not include weekends. Expedited services are for Saver versions and are guaranteed by End of Day. All Overnight and/or Next Day services are for business days only and do not include weekends. All UPS Overnight will be shipped via Next Day Air Saver. Saturday delivery may be available at an additional cost to you depending on your location. If you see Next Day Air Saturday Delivery as an option, you can select that service. We do not ship all products to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Email us prior to ordering to find out if the products you want can be shipped to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We do not ship C.O.D. orders. All orders must have complete shipping address, email address or fax number, and a phone number. Truck freight is tailgate service only, which requires the customer to unload freight orders from the delivery truck. We use UPS and FedEx Ground as our primary shipping method for most standard size packages. Ground charges are approximately 75% less than expedited service. Most credit card orders that are verified by 12:00PM PST ship same day if product is in stock! Accesspeed does not charge a handling or processing fee for standard orders. Accesspeed is only responsible for shipment, not delivery. We ship all merchandise complete, properly packaged, and insured. Any damage, loss, or missing claims must be made with the carrier as stated in the Damaged Shipments section.
Special Handling and Oversized Items are exceptionally large or bulky items that incur much higher shipping costs than Non-Special Handling Items. Larger or heavier items may need to be shipped via truck freight. Please review the product descriptions for details or notes regarding oversized items. Availability and shipping options may vary on these items and proper delivery may take longer than normal. Promotions on freight charges do not apply to Special Handling or Oversized Items unless specifically stated in the item description.
All international orders require the customer to pay all duties and brokerage fees associated with the shipment. If you fail to pay your duties, brokerage or other fees, any such charges will be billed to your credit card or billed COD by your local government and/or freight entity. Failure to pay duties may result in fines, penalties and/or additional fees by your government. Any order placed by the customer with the wrong address which requires the shipper to make a correction will be subject to an address correction fee, as charged by the shipper. These fees vary depending on the shipper, but normally range from $5.00-$30.00, and will be billed to your credit card or billed COD by the shipper at the time of delivery. If you contact the shipper direct to make any changes whatsoever to your shipment, you will be liable for any fees related to that change, and these fees will be billed to your credit card or billed COD by the shipper at the time of delivery. All promotions offering shipping discounts and/or free shipping are valid only in the Continental US via Economy or Ground service, and do not include Alaska, Hawaii or International addresses, unless otherwise stated.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
PLEASE INSPECT YOUR PACKAGE UPON DELIVERY, IN THE PRESENCE OF THE CARRIER! OPEN THE ITEM AND THOROUGHLY INSPECT IT FOR ANY DAMAGE. ONCE YOU SIGN FOR IT, YOU HAVE AGREED THAT IT WAS RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Upon receipt of an obviously damaged package, you have two options. First, you have the option of stating to the carrier that the package is obviously damaged, and you can refuse delivery, and contact Accesspeed immediately. In this case, the order will be returned to Accesspeed and we will process a new shipment. Or, you may receive the order and make note of the visible damage, in writing, to the carrier and keep a copy to show us. In many cases, once the package is opened, the parts are not damaged and there is no further action needed. However, if upon inspection of the parts, you find them damaged due to the carrier's mis-handling the package, you then have 24 HOURS to file a formal claim with the carrier. DO NOT RETURN THE DAMAGED PARTS TO US. Keep the package and parts as close as possible to the condition in which you received them as the carrier will want to verify the damage. PHOTOS ALWAYS HELP!!! Without the package, the carrier will void your claim. Claims for shortages due to carrier negligence must be made with the carrier within 24 hours of receipt of merchandise. In the event the item damaged is a drop-ship item, we will work with the supplier to get a replacement shipped as quickly as possible. If you cancel your order after payment has been made, you may be charged a cancellation fee of 10%. Once you have filed your claim, please notify our customer service department with the details so that we may assist you and answer any questions you may have on your claim. KEEP IN MIND... We are the sender, not the shipping company!
Concealed Damage
Immediately after receiving you order open and inspect your item for any signs of “Concealed Damage”. In the event that you encounter any damage contact the Shipper (Carrier) immediately to report the damage. The Carrier should be contacted no later than 48 hrs after receipt of the shipment. You will need to retain your copy of the delivery receipt as well as all of the original packaging materials for proper claim documentation. If possible digital photos should also be taken to further support any claims. Once you have contacted the carrier, please contact us promptly at salesATaccesspeedDOTcom or call 661-505-1190 and speak to one of our Customer Service Specialists so we can help complete the claim and process a replacement order.
REFUSED ORDERS
Any customer who refuses delivery of an order (damaged shipment excluded) will be charged for the freight out, the additional return freight charges and any related fees including accounting and restocking fees. These charges must be paid in full before any future orders will be shipped. Any damage that occurs as a result of a refused shipment will be the buyer’s responsibility.
RETURNS
The Accesspeed return policy is as follows:
- Return claims must be requested within ten (10) days of receipt of your order from Accesspeed.com.
- The customer must call Accesspeed to have a qualified representative approve the return and issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- Only items which are unused, uninstalled, or determined to be defective, may be returned. We do not accept returns for installed or used parts.
- The customer must return unused and uninstalled merchandise in the original packaging to us within 30 days of receiving a Return Merchandise Authorization number.
- The RMA number must be visibly displayed on at least two (2) sides of the outside of the returning package.
- The customer is responsible for ALL freight charges incurred with a return or exchange. All returns must be pre-paid shipping and fully insured. Accesspeed will not accept collect/COD shipments.
- Returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice and/or packing slip.
- In cases where a return is due to a shipping error on the part of Accesspeed, the correct item will be shipped at Accesspeed's expense.
- Items returned without an RMA number or using an expired RMA number will be refused.
- It is the customer's responsibility to see to it that an item returned is properly packaged and insured, to protect the customer from loss. Any returns that arrive damaged will be refused in order for you to file a damage claim with your shipper.
- Any damage, loss or missing claims must be made with the carrier. We can assist you with the claim.
- Accesspeed assumes no liability for returns that are mis-shipped, mis-packaged, or mis-delivered.
The carrier you use for a return is your choice. However, we suggest using a reputable carrier for your protection and to ensure prompt delivery. Shipping insurance is suggested for your protection. Original shipping fees are not refundable. We are not responsible for unauthorized returns. Restocking fees are charged only when absolutely necessary. If a restocking fee is required, these charges will range from 15% to 25% and average 20%, depending on the product and whether or not re-packaging is required.
Please follow the following steps for return authorization:
Find your original invoice that came with the product and include a copy of it in your return shipment.
- Re-pack the items securely with the original packaging and apply a label with the return address listed below.
- Email or call our Customer Service Department with reason for return. We will email a Return Merchandise Authorization Number and instructions on how to proceed with your return within 3-4 business days. WRITE THE RMA# ON THE BOX IN AT LEAST TWO (2) LOCATIONS!
- Ship prepaid via, FedEx Ground, UPS or USPS w/ Delivery Confirmation. Please retain your tracking number.
VEHICLE AND PRODUCT FITMENT
Accesspeed expects our customers to exercise good judgment regarding the proper selection, installation, use and maintenance of any product. Accesspeed has no control over the selection, use, installation or maintenance of any product. Accesspeed assumes no responsibility for damage or injury of any kind due to any misuse or improper application of any products in any way by any person. Although many of our customers choose to install the products purchased from Accesspeed themselves, we always recommend professional installation. Customer is expected to research OEM and/or aftermarket installation times. Customer is expected to verify that the parts ordered from Accesspeed will properly fit with any other upgrade and/or modification made to your vehicle. Accesspeed will not be held liable for any lack of research by a customer. If your vehicle has been modified, especially any components directly related to the part (s) you are buying, you should verify that the part (s) you are buying will work with your modified vehicle. Once installation has been attempted, the manufacturer will not accept a return except under warranty, if the product is deemed defective by that manufacturer. All items purchased from Accesspeed are installed at the buyer's risk. Accesspeed is not responsible for the installation, or any damages or defects caused to your vehicle as a result of the installation of products sold by Accesspeed. If you are ordering shocks and/or struts, please verify that the shock type and size will work with the springs (lowering or lifting) you have selected. All seats and/or seat related products sold by Accesspeed are for off-road use only and may not be legal for street use. If you are ordering seats and/or seat covers of any kind, please be sure to refer to your Owner’s Manual for any safety restraint and/or airbag settings that may be affected by the installation of aftermarket seat products. Accesspeed is not responsible for any damage as a result of airbag deployment or non-deployment due to the installation of such products.
For all products which require or suggest painting prior to installation, Accesspeed recommends that you pre-fit the product onto the vehicle prior to painting and final installation. Such products include, but are not limited to, Hoods, Body Kits, Bumpers, Spoilers, Steps, Headers, Exhaust, Roll Bars, Etc. Accesspeed is NOT responsible for any paint work performed. Accesspeed is not responsible for warranty of any product for which the manufacturer suggests painting prior to installation, and any cost to prep or paint a product that is replaced under warranty is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Additionally, once an item has been painted, it is not returnable except under warranty provisions made by the manufacturer, and most manufacturers require that you deal directly with them in such cases. Unless the manufacturer agrees to pay for shipping, you will be required to pay for shipping an item back to the manufacturer. Accesspeed will not be liable for any shipping cost related to the manufacturer requiring you to ship the product back to them for repair or replacement.
ALWAYS TEST-FIT YOUR PARTS! NEVER PAINT BEFORE TEST-FITTING A BODY PRODUCT!!!
COMPOSITE PRODUCT DISCLAIMER
Due to the various tolerances on your vehicle from the manufacturer, composite body parts, including, but not limited to, fiberglass, plastic, urethane, carbon fiber, Kevlar and ABS, may require slight modification to the kit and/or your vehicle in order to achieve a precise fit. Some bumpers require modification and/or removal of your OEM crush foam and/or metal under-bumper. Any bumper requiring modification and/or removal of your OEM crush foam and/or metal under-bumper is for off-road use only and is not recommended for street use. Most body shops experienced in aftermarket body kits should be able to provide you with a reasonable quote to perform the modifications needed for proper fitment prior to painting. We ALWAYS suggest getting at least three (3) body shop quotes in order to ensure that you are paying a competitive price. If you feel that your body shop is quoting the work too high or is incapable of performing the work, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the product(s) with your body shop, as well as making alternate body shop recommendations based on other Accesspeed customers’ experiences, where possible.
CARBON FIBER
If you have purchased a carbon fiber product before, you already know that the unique trait of carbon fiber is that no two weave patterns are exactly the same. Additionally, hand-laid carbon fiber will have slight differences in consistency due to resin pulling the weave one way or another. This is especially true on edges and/or corners, but can be seen in any part of the product. This characteristic is what gives carbon fiber its uniqueness versus painted products. This characteristic is not a returnable reason under any circumstances.
EXHAUST
Aftermarket exhaust system products are designed to increase performance and/or fuel economy, and may be louder and/or have a higher level of resonance than OEM. Please keep this in mind when purchasing exhaust products, as "Too Loud" is not a viable reason to return an exhaust product. Some performance exhaust products may require an additional resonator to help reduce the sound level or cabin resonance. Any exhaust product that is described as “loud”, “aggressive” or “race” will carry higher decibel and resonance levels than other exhaust products. All headers are for off-road use only and not legal for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles, unless otherwise stated in the product description. PRODUCT WARRANTY
Defective items under warranty may be returned for direct replacement AFTER an Accesspeed RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) has been issued. Proof of defect, damage or imperfection must be provided to Accesspeed via digital photograph(s) prior to any warranty claim filing. Accesspeed may be required to contact the manufacturer for warranty claim assistance and may require customers to include the manufacture in correspondence regarding a claim. All warranty packages must be issued a RMA number from Accesspeed, and must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice. The customer is responsible for all freight charges incurred with a warranty, inbound and outbound. Because returns may need to be shipped to one of our warehouses or manufacturers, you must contact Accesspeed to receive your RMA and the appropriate return address will be provided at that time. The RMA number must be clearly displayed on at least 2 sides of the outside of the package. All Accesspeed RMA numbers expire after 30 days. Items returned without an RMA number or using an expired RMA number will be refused and returned to the customer at the customer’s expense. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that an item returned for warranty is properly packaged and insured, to protect the customer from loss. Any damage, loss or missing claims must be made with the carrier you select for return shipping. Only items authorized for warranty service will be processed. Unauthorized customer warranties or warranty items that do not meet warranty criteria as stated by the manufacturer will be denied and returned if requested, at the customer's expense. Unclaimed denied warranty returns will be destroyed. Accesspeed assumes no liability for warranty returns that are mis-shipped, mis-packaged, or mis-delivered. Accesspeed reserves the right to deny warranty service if it is evident that the warranty claim is fraudulent or a result of abuse and/or improper preparation and/or installation. No other responsibilities or warranties are expressed or implied. Please read our Returns section for additional instructions on returning merchandise.
Warranty and/or defective merchandise are subject to the terms of the manufacturer's warranty only. Accesspeed shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damages, nor shall Accesspeed be liable for any labor or inconvenience. Accesspeed's responsibility is limited to replacement of the defective item only under the manufacturer’s warranty guidelines. No refunds will be issued. If a manufacturer's warranty card is included in the package, it must be filled out completely by the customer and mailed to the manufacturer prior to submitting any warranty claims. The manufacturer's warranty tag must be attached to the defective product, where applicable. Accesspeed does not provide refunds on warranty claims.
MAGNUSON-MOSS WARRANTY IMPROVEMENT ACT
One of the most common urban legends in automotive is that aftermarket parts void factory warranties. Dealers inaccurately, and illegally, perpetuate this urban legend quite often in order to sell more OEM parts. Unfortunately, customers who are not up on FTC laws and regulations may fall victim to these unethical and/or uneducated dealerships. The Federal Trade Commission has enacted a law which protects you from discrimination when dealing with aftermarket products and new vehicle warranties. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act states that your original vehicle manufacturer's warranty shall not be voided if you properly install a properly functioning aftermarket product on your vehicle. If you should experience a problem with your dealership, you should direct your dealer representative to the Federal Trade Commission regarding the provisions of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act. For more information about this law and your rights as an aftermarket consumer, you may visit http://www.ftc.gov or contact your vehicle manufacturer. SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is also very active in protecting aftermarket consumer rights. We encourage you to visit the official SEMA website at for more information. In some cases, dealers may deny the warranties for new vehicles when it is evident that a specific product and/or the installation of the product are a direct cause of the warranty claim. In many cases, new vehicle manufacturers state this in writing.
We have found that many new car dealerships DO NOT know this law and may attempt to void a warranty claim on a vehicle which has aftermarket parts installed, yet have no relationship to the warranty issue. Surprisingly, we have also found that many law enforcement officers DO NOT know this law and may attempt to issue you a citation based on your vehicle having an aftermarket product installed. If either of these issues happens to you, we advise that you contact SEMA and/or the FTC regarding your rights.
CARB-Exempt Info
Parts and accessories which are not “CARB exempt” may violate emission control system anti-tampering laws, and may not be legal for highway use in your state. Unless stated otherwise in the product description, engine, computer, air intake, exhaust and other performance enhancing products may NOT be legal for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles which are used on public roads, and such products may only be used for racing purposes.
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) governs motor vehicle emission standards for the state of California. Many states follow CARB standards, and some of these states view a CARB-Approved product as 50-state legal. Please verify whether or not your state adheres to CARB standards for its own approval prior to purchasing.
