Billy Boat Exhaust

Billy Boat Exhaust Headers, Exhaust Systems, Mid-Pipes, Mufflers and Tips

Since 1989, Billy Boat Exhaust has designed, tested, and manufactured the highest quality stainless steel exhaust systems available. Originally specializing in Porsche 911 performance exhaust systems, oil coolers, and intercoolers, B&B introduced the Tri-Flo line named after its unique 3-into-1 Porsche header. Today in its state-of-the-art facility, Billy Boat continues to develop the highest performing exhaust systems for most sports cars, trucks, and SUVs. With an in-house dyno facility and R&D staff, BBE stays on top of current vehicle trends and deliver products that fit and perform to an unsurpassed level of standards.

Each Billy Boat Performance Exhaust system incorporates 3-generations of fabrication skill and racing talent. Every system starts with T-304 stainless steel, known throughout the industry as the highest quality material practical for after-cat exhaust applications. All exhaust tubing is mandrel bent on sophisticated CNC machinery for a precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. What’s more, the use of T-304 stainless steel flanges offers high strength and complete resistance to harsh elements. All hangers, resonators, and tips are T-304 stainless steel as well.

Billy Boat Performance Exhaust mufflers are crafted in-house with years of racing and street development invested into the design. Each muffler is tuned to match its application for the best possible performance gain and sound quality combination. For strength, the muffler end-plates are radiused at the inlet and outlet preventing premature cracking. Additionally, reinforcing gussets are used when necessary. Depending on the application, you can choose from 3" round tips with a rolled edge, 4.5" oval rolled edge tips, 5.25" oval rolled edge tips or DTM style tips for European applications.

Performance - It’s what BBE does and it is who they are. With over 25 years of experience in the racing and exhaust industry, Billy Boat has learned a few things about performance. Whether it is leading the field as the fastest qualifier at the 1998 Indy 500 or leading a team of highly skilled fabricators, performance is measured by more than just horsepower. Performance is delivering beyond expectations.

Sound - Would you rather listen to the adrenaline pumping sound of your exhaust than the radio? Does the slightest flick of the throttle make you yearn for open road? With a pleasant tone while cruising down the freeway, or a deep throaty roar when you plant your right foot. Billy Boat Performance Exhaust has spent the last ten years perfecting the sound of their exhaust systems. “We use two different packing materials and as many as three separate SCC’s inside the muffler”, says owner Billy Boat. This design creates the perfect harmony at any RPM range and will have you answering the question - “Where did you get that exhaust system?”

Style - What is function without form? The look of your exhaust system is just as important as the performance and sound. At Billy Boat Performance Exhaust, the product looks so good when it arrives it is a shame to put it under the car! All products are polished to a showroom finish and the exhaust systems are available with several different tip styles. Tip style is as individual as each customer and Billy Boat Performance Exhaust offers a style and selection for everyone.

Accesspeed is proud to offer Billy Boat Exhaust products to our customers. With our low price match guarantee, you will always find the best combination of price and selection at Accesspeed.

Turbo Charge Pipes and Charge Tubes, Hot Side Charge Pipes, Cold Side Charge Pipes

What is a charge pipe?

A charge pipe is a free-flowing tube that replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory intercooler piping. A properly designed charge pipe will reduce turbo-charged air pressure loss while increasing air flow from the turbo to the intercooler.

Do charge pipes add horsepower?

Charge pipes increase throttle response on most applications, but are especially efficient on high performance vehicles that have aftermarket upgrades and/or tuning.

What is the difference between a turbo charge pipe (hot side) and an intercooler charge pipe (cold side)?

Turbo charge pipes are free-flowing tubes that replace the restrictive factory piping that connects your turbo to your intercooler. Properly designed turbo charge pipes (often called hot side turbo pipes) reduce turbocharged air pressure loss while increasing air flow from the turbo to the intercooler. Basically, the hot side (turbo side) of the charge pipe carries hot charge air from the turbo to the intercooler. Conversely, the intercooler charge pipes (often called cold side turbo pipes) connect the intercooler to the air intake on your vehicle. The cold side of the intercooler charge pipe takes the cooled air from the intercooler and directs it to the intake manifold. The cold side is also referred to as the intake side.

Does a charge pipe require a custom tune or program?

A tune is not required for the installation of most charge pipes. However, charge pipes will compliment a vehicle with a good tune, allowing you to take full advantage of the free-flowing air.
