Like the robust 2500 HD platform, the Chevrolet & GMC 6-Lug IFS platform has been a cornerstone for over two decades. The classic GM IFS suspension technology has been proven time and again to provide exceptional handling characteristics and performance. RCD Suspension, with its industry leading sub-frame and spindle technology, has capitalized on this platform to produce a high quality product that exceeds even the most discerning customer needs. RCD Suspension continues to produce these systems for all 1988 through 2008 GM IFS truck and SUV models.
The RCD 6" Suspension System for the 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC C1500 Silverado, C1500 Sierra, Standard Cab, 6-lug, Old Body Style, 2WD IFS System includes CNC machined replacement cast iron steering knuckles, T-6 billet aluminum axle spacers, zinc plated billet steel "Super-Flex" sway bar end links, replacement heavy duty lower link arms, rear coil spring, pan-hard bar Lateral compression struts, shock absorber relocation bracketry, and Bisltein 5100 Series Shock Absorbers.. Note: no drive shaft modifications are needed for installation.

  1988-1998 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup - 2WD

Wheel/Tire Specifications:
Max Tire Size: 33" x 12.5" w/ no modifications necessary. 35" & larger x 12.5" require minor bumper and/or fender trimming.
 
Max Backspace: 16" x 8" -4.5" backspacing. 17" & larger x 8" = 4.625" backspacing.
 
Additional Information:
  -System will NOT work on 88-91 Light Duty vehicles with standard brake system (smaller rotor 11.57” x 1”). Must use 1992 or later braking system.  Call for details.
  -Recalibration of the speedometer, ABS and stability control systems (if applicable) will be required by an authorized GMC/Chevy Dealer
  -Must enlarge lower control arm sway bar end link mounting hole to 3/4” 
  -Will not work on vehicles equipped with rear steering
