Do short tube headers increase horsepower?
Yes, shorty headers increase horsepower. If your state requires EO certified headers to be “in compliance” with emissions laws, short tube headers are a great investment in reliable, smog-legal performance.
Do shorty headers improve gas mileage?
Yes, in most cases, fuel mileage will increase when you add short tube headers. The problem that Accesspeed customers have is keeping their foot out of the throttle because shorty headers add horsepower and acceleration.
Are short tube headers legal in my state?
If your state allows you to replace the exhaust manifold without touching the OEM catalytic converter, shorty headers should be legal in your state. If you purchase 50-state EO compliant headers, you are legal.
