Wheel spacers are the best solution when you need to safely fit a wheel that is not the correct size for your vehicle. Wheel spacers fit over your existing hub and space the wheel away from the hub, giving you clearance and a wider track.
The load from a wheel is transferred through the hub mount, not through the wheel studs or bolts. The wheel spacer is basically extending your hub.
